Am I alone in being baffled by the whole scheme?.

We take, often perfectly serviceable, 10 year old cars and scrap them so that people can buy Korean hatchbacks.

How the hell is that meant to help the environment or the British economy?

Come on, lets face it this is nothing but a cynical and desparate ploy by a clueless and dying government to buy votes.
