We in the South East are feeling left out. We keep reading of the Cheshire Crew getting together, the Scots meeting up, and the Norfolk crowd all seem to know one another - so we have decided to do something about it.
640TMP and I met up today at the inaugural Essex meeting, and want to arrange a get-together of more members from Essex, Herts, East London, and Kent.
If you are interested please post your details here with your preferred location so we can try to sort something out.
Here are some pics of the first meet!

| Us Suffolk folk feel a bit left out too. We have Duxford but that is a bit custom car-ish. What about Finchingfield? It is one of the most beautiful villages around. There are often vehicles of all types there and some good pubs - for a coke ofcourse. |

That's a long way to drive for a fizzy drink or two
Why don't you come South? Should only take a week or two on the PF! _________________ Brian

It was great to meet Brian M and discuss the proposed 'Essex Meet'
Nic Jarman, Finchingfield is a good suggestion, hopefully Brian will be along soon to give us his views on it
By the way that picture of me was terrible _________________ Richard Hughes |

Nic and Rich
Finchingfield is a bit further north than I had in mind, to get some members from Kent and East London I was thinking of the area between Brentwood and Chelmsford.
But if there is a lot of serious interest from Suffolk AND NORFOLK (are you listening Gilberry and Co!) we could certainly consider the Essex/ Suffolk border.
The majority will decide!! _________________ Brian

Just got back from our cheltenham owners rally to see comments about us
We have no problem travelling but require a pub that does good food worth travelling for (the humber meet has fantastic food ) so if you know somewhere then my other half wiil need to check her diary to see when I'm off and we will be there . |

Hi Gilberry,
It would be great if you could make it! Although I have sampled most of the pubs around Southend I haven't tried many further afield
I've heard of this pub before, it's listed on the FBHVC Drive it Day events page as the British Owners Motorcycle Club met there, so they are used to classic events.
Here's the website, it looks lovely, with a really nice looking menu, and a large car park.
The location? Margaretting Tye, just southwest of Chelmsford

Just an suggestion, remember, I've never actually been there! _________________ Richard Hughes |
