We've got one exactly the same in our garage. We bought it because it was advertised as being for an Austin Somerset, but they were actually optional extras for big Austins in the late 30's, such as the 12 Ascot, 14 Goodwood etc. They fit in the boot of said cars. I used to have a pre-war Austin brochure that showed pictures of them. _________________ Richard Hughes |
