I lent a turbo trainer to a girl that was trying for the 2012 Olympics but did not get selected so the trainer was returned. I set it up and tried it in my shop in the scruffy corner. I used my bike which is a 30 yr old Holdsworth and started the Sicilian section of the Tour de France. The video took me through a village and then up a long drag that killed my legs as I did not have time to warm up. Yes it increases the resistance as you go up a hill and slackens off as you go down. I did half of the course which is 13 miles and was dripping with sweat. I think I will have to put a fan in front of me to make it feel even more real. Maybe I should concentrate on working, but it is really good fun.
