Not sure if it has been linked from here before. Very interesting scrapyard, just as we all like them! Surprisingly lots of British cars here. To be cleared end of September.

Wow.

I thought that pollution laws in Switzerland would have had this lot cleared up years ago!

The Aucton list runs to 15 pages - about 800 cars at a rough guess.

I wonder how many will fall apart as they are moved.

mmm it'd be fun having a clamber around there before it gets cleared!

What puzzles me about this type of collection is ... why ?

What was the original intention and where did it all go wrong.

Peter,I'm fairly sure this was a scrapyard ,purely there to keep other cars running. This is why many are missing light, windows, etc.
The bulk of these cars are fairly ordinary, and as such weren't worth much by the early 70's.Also,the Swiss roads are sprayed with pickle during the winter,so most cars would be pretty well gone underneath.
Sitting on a bed of wet leaves won't have done them much good either.Maybe the ones under cover fared a little better.
Sadly,I imagine most will be a source of spares, nothing more.
Going to drp a bid on the black A60,Rick? Laughing
