Hi

I don't know, but it's definately not 1920's, or even old! Look at the interior shot and the handbrake/gear lever gators, the seatbelts and the drivers seat straight out of the modern van it was based on. I can't remember the make of these vans but I think they were built in the 1980's through to the early 90's.

Cheers

Wow! That's fantastic! It looks almost like new!
That driver's door looks familiar - doesn't have sliding windows does it?

It's certainly a modern pseudo-replica. The usual one is a Fleur-de-Lys, built in Newark in the 1980s; this isn't one of those, but there were several others produced around the same time.

Hi

I am glad it isn't just me, I didn't like to say anything in my orriginal post! hehe The air seat does it for me, or atleast it looks like an air seat from a waggon.

Cheers

At first I thought about the Transit-based vehicles that used to run about in a Cookie Company livery. But artillery wheels? The narrow section of the tyres suggests something old. It is hard to believe that anyone would have put all that modern crap in to a twenties vehicle. But they have... Shocked Shocked

Dave,

It's a Beauford. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beauford_automobiles

They also make 30's looking tourer that is popular with the wedding car brigade. I don't know what they are mechanically now but the one I saw at a show years ago had Datsun 6 cylinder mechanicals and a Mini body stuck on a custom chassis. They do a convertible nowadays too.

It's all a little confusing because if you click the Bus link on the right of the page it says the following:

Charabanc For Sale
A 1920's Charabanc, eight seater in old English white and cream. Interior seats with Tiffany lamps. Pure luxury ideal for weddings or corporate work, taxed and mot, excellent condition throughout.

Are they mis-representing the vehicle or is it a typo? With the Beaufort they say 1930s style.
