Can anybody identify this axle?

This axle was (badly) fitted to a bedford ca that has just been imported from turkey

was thinking early transit,cf,sherpa or p100

any ideas?

Looks sloghtly Marina-esque to me, but there are I haven't touched one for a long time. Half shafts are similar and it has Girling Brakes.

well paul, i thought you had the answer, i did think it was morris when you mentioned it, but no

tried the 7wt van and ital and rover variants but its not those

the handbrake linkage reminds me of an mgb arrangement, the wheel cylinder is held on with a circlip and located with a rollpin like the mgb but its heavier duty and the adjuster is huge

its bugging me, i recognise it from somewhere

the brake shoe is a lockheed which has the part number 3342-641

the wheel cylinder is stamped

3221-827

the adjuster has no (visible) part number

Could it be from an Austin/Morris J2 van?

the wheel cylinder is 1968 ford transit

the brake shoes though.... err.. is anyones guess

luckily they are useable

Yes, I'm pretty sure RotaryBri has it with the Austin/Morris J2 van although the spring shackle arrangement looks different. Maybe modified to work with the Bedford springs.
