For five of the last seven years I have attended the annual European Classic Caravan Rally in various European countries. In some years there have only been a couple of UK participants, but last year the UK contingent rose to six. There were three Safaris, mine and two from Holland.

For 2010 the venue is less than 50 miles from Calais, so I am hoping that there will be a greater number of UK caravans there and who knows perhaps even a good showing of Safaris.

Already booked my crossing Brian. We're going with Viv & Pete (they of the stolen Winchester) on Thurs 13th May Folkestone - Bolougne after a couple of days at a pub in the Weald of Kent. We're staying on the site after the Euro-Rally for a week, returning on Sat 22nd. The area is well worth a week's exploration. I haven't been to the Eurobash since St Dizier, so am looking forward to it. Always a most enjoyable experience.

It will be great to meet you after all these years, and my personal ambition to see a decent British contingent at the event is one step nearer to being realised!!

This is one event that i would love to attend but cant for the forseeable future. Take plenty of pics so that I can have a look when we catch up at Stapleford wont you please. Nich
