Perhaps better known for grass cutting equipment, there is some interesting stuff scattered around the interwebby that details an early look at hybrid vehicles.

Googling "Briggs Stratton hybrid" will find more images and text plus a reference to the present location of this concept vehicle at the Powerhouse Museum, Milwaukee WI.

I found the museum website overwhelming and I failed to find reference to the car.

Battery weight was obviously a major drawback, but as with all things, someone had to start somewhere.
