I used to drive one for a living in about'71.
There was an off-camber roundabout on my route, and one fine day,I took this a bitfast. The load slid over, and knocked the handle of the side door.Buns and cakes all over the road. The boss was not pleased.
That one is an early version, with the 1500 engine. The later ones with the 1725 engine were a much better load lugger.
Don't see many of them now,so if it's in good nick underneath,it would be great to see it saved.

Right now I have about 50 projects, cars, trucks and motorcycles...do you think 51 would kill me? Some of my projects are outside, trying to get them under cover, but run out of room. So I thinking I'm passing......... yes still passing....... on this one........yep.....

I can ask some friends of mine who import from the US from time to time - being post-1950 though it'll cop for 22% import duty (being a commercial), then VAT on the top of all that (added to purchase price, transportation to docks, & shipping to the UK) Confused

Rick,

Does the 22% apply if it is an originl British built product? I thought I saw something recently that because it was a re-import it was exempt.

Yup could well be the case, either exempt or much lower rate

I have been told by other parties that have tried to import this back already, it may be dodgy! we will see still haven't heard from the seller or shipping enquiry!

I have used International Sea & Air, N.J. three times with no problems for cars bought on the East coast. A fourth was out of Long Beach C.A. and that was a 1/2 ton truck. I'll have a look at the papers to see if I can work out how much tax was paid and which company I used for shipping.
