|
|
Having cured all the oil leaks under my Amazon, I would like to get the underside cleaned of the years of old oil.
I have a pressure washer, but with a gravel driveway would need to put sheeting down before attempting it, and think I would still get some of the muck on the driveway.
So two questions:
Anybody know of a company who could do it for me?
If I have to do it myself what can I use in the washer to make the job easier? _________________ Brian

The best way to clean the oil is a hot pressure washer, Yellow Pages should have a few companies in your area who can advise.
It's a messy job and best done outwith your garden, preferably at a commercial premises where they can clean up the aftermath
Personally if it were me I would leave all that oil where it is as it acts as the perfect rust prohibitor _________________ ROVER

It took me 2 weeks of undersealing and waxoiling when I cleaned the underside of the Midget. The MOT guy was the only other person to see it!! _________________ 1936 Morris 8 Series 1

Yep spot on, hot pressure wash, or steam clean. It's the only sure fire way of getting that old muck off. These guys are well set up, so in theory you shouldn't even notice they've been....well apart from a very clean car underside!!! |

Hi
You can pressure wash at a coin washer, this way the oil and dirt is trapped instead of going to the land. We have a bay at work, with a steam cleaner, that then goes through filters and the like, otherwise see if you can get a valeting company, with a ramp or pit to do it for you!
Cheers
