This Is a fantastic airshow near lincoln. We took the MGA this year, the weather was very hot and the crowds were at record levels.
I imported the MGA from Alabama six years ago,the bodywork is totally original,(absolutely no welding).
I resprayed the bodywork, fitted a new interior, new wire wheels and refurbished the brakes and suspension.
It was a joy not to weld and fit new bodywork as I normally do!!
Pictures can be posted if interested?
Unlike many MGA`S the body has never left the chassis and the doors ,bonnet and bootlid fit as they should.
The fluids were renewed, clutch bled, ignition items renewed, and she ran perfectly, and still does after six years.
The mileage is around 50,000 miles which acording to records is about right.
I drive the MGA more than i do my 1960`s Jaguars, although when the XK 3.8ltr 150`S drophead is finished next spring that might just take preference.
This was also imported from the same area of the states, although more work was needed on the bodywork.
P.S. Before purist`s comment yes I must fit the trim piece to the bottom of the bodywork, under the door and wing. Heh Ho. |
