Does anyone remember these on TV, or know who ran them? Les dropped me a line after seeing the photos I put on of the Hollywood Motor Rodeo earlier this week.
=======================
I can remember when i was about 6 or 7 years old the BBC used to have those interlude breaks between programmes you know like the train from London to Brighton in 3 minutes and one of these was stunt cars and i seem to remember Standard Vanguards rolling about. They must have been quite new then, might be worth asking if anyone else can remember and perhaps add more details to it, i do remember the tele was a Pye Continental 17" state of the art then me boy _________________ Rick - Admin

Hi Rick,
I can't recall the Standard Vanguards but I don't suppose you were thinking of the Ford V8 Gymkhana that was held at Brooklands in the 1930s when these cars were driven through hoops of fire, piles of barrels and generally driven with gay abandon?

Hi
I would have thought stunt cars would be too hectic for an interlude, they certainly don't appear in this listing.

This is another link for various interludes and trade test films.

There was a public information type film I remember which featured the idea of putting the cars on the pavement and the pedestrians in the road and then making the cars stop and look right left right every time they wanted to cross a road. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.
