Hi,
The production costs are all still up in the air but around the 13,700.00 inc vat....i think, fully finished.
You can buy them at whatever stage of production...the most stripped down will probably be body shell, floor, chassis and door skins...we make chassis so these will all be EU certificated.
With out hijacking the site, i will post some pictures of the finished Dub boxes around the 20th of march
cheers Matt |

Hi
Just a thought can you still get elevating roofs, concertina or pramhood type for them?
They would give standing room and I think they used to have a pipe bunk as well, so that would be an extra berth. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Hi, you can still get the pop tops quite easily. down the line a little we are going to get the fibre glass roof re moulded to take one...thats the plan anyway. yes the bunk...it's a great idea but i think without a load of heavy roof strenghtening the roof will not support any reasonable weight.
The sliding door was put in to the buses post '68..i think...the 2 buses this is based on are '57 and '67 so a hinged door was the way to go...plus trying to get a good looking sliding mechanism in to a fibre glass body quite frankly scareds the living daylights out of me!
Cheers for your comments. |

Great idea and in fibreglass should be leak free.
I think headroom needs to be addressed to open up extra sales. Just come back from the NEC caravan show, if you can make it for 12k/13k it could take on mainstream offerings. What about the chassis.
As a possible "sports" model what about some access lockers from the outside for the surf boards.
Good luck and keep us posted with developments

we couldn't get two doors in...it is a bit of a tight but usable..
head room and pop top is deffo the way to go. chassis is finished,as of this morning. there will be a locker under the seats above the a frame...you would fit a surf board with in the dub box as the rear cargo door will open to get things in and out.
thanks..
facebook page dub box has the photos on from this morning.. |
