Well, new wood has been fitted now and the frame given a good soak in rot proofing chemical. The insulation all fitted back into the roof and one side of the ceiling recovered with new tempered hardboard. The fitting of which caused me considerable amounts of "blood, sweat and tears" I can tell you!
Also the underside needed a bit of attention too. the underfloor was also insulated and covered in an aliminium skin. But the paneling had suffered over the years and had corroded badly, so had to be replaced totally. While doing this I took the oportunaty to remove the axel and recondition the brakes, bearings, seals and rods.
More to come in part three. _________________ I can resist anything except temptation ! ( Oscar Wilde)
