If they're the same as my Royale, the ones with the 'barb' on the trailing shoes to engage the reversing mechanism activating spring, then they are unique to the Lockheed reversing brake. I have part nos but they won't do you any good. I have just had mine re-lined by Brakes International of Rochdale for £40/4 incl. vat.
Note that they aren't the same as ones available for the Lockheed non-auto-reverse axles.

Thanks for that, the Viking does not have auto reverse but the lever on the hitch that has to be put on manually, would that make them harder to find?

No, easier. You may even find them off the shelf if you do a search, though there's no substitute for approaching a brake parts specialist with a set of shoes in your hand and asking "got any of these mate?".
You may still find the easy approach is to have your existing relined.

Get you local motor factors to dig out a set of Morris Minor Brake shoes, you'll be surprised how many caravan companies used them

Thanks rangerover125. M.Minor use 8" unfortunately or that would have made things very simple.

Alec,

Lockheed did not make a 9 inch automatic reversing brake. B & B Trailers wanted one but Lockheed said that the demand was not great enough to scale up their 8 inch brake so B & B used the standard Lockheed 9 inch and made their own conversion. B & B designed and manufactured the automatic brake system using the standard Lockheed 9 inch as the base. They modified the brake shoes accordingly to keep the unit costs down as much as possible. I was involved at the time and know this brake well. Some went out to customers without the shoe tips being hardened and I had to go out to Finland and strip and rebuild many brakes on Solifer caravans. I do not think that you will ever find any spares for these brakes as AL-KO threw out all B & B spares after they took over the company.

Thanks for that, and sorry for causing confusion. I was misled by a publication that came with the Royale entitled " AP Lockheed Reversing Brake for Caravans and Trailers Service Manual" (Publication ref. M8/1) which seems to describe and illustrate exactly the system on the caravan. However no size of drum/shoe is mentioned anywhere!
As the illustrated components look identical to those on the van I must assume that B&B made a replica system hopefully using Lockheed expander assemblies, adjusters, and maybe springs and coil springs/abutments, but with one-off 9" shoes, carriers, drums, and backplates.
At least all non-Lockheed bits are reconditionable if necessary.
