Can anyone help with the id of this old lorry? Sigis in Lithuania emailed this one over, believed to have been taken between 1930 - 1935.

The shape of the partly-obscured radiator badge reminds me of the early Peugeots, but I can't find a Peugeot with that fluting on the rad...

I've since found out that it is indeed a Peugeot, a circa 1932 201 Boulangere Type Camionnette.

Front tyres look a bit on the thin side, mind you the roads in 1930's Lithuania look considerably better than the roads in 2010 Barnsley after the recent cold spell. We have pot holes that you could hide a Smart Car in!! Very Happy

Of greater interest to me is that the helmets look like a variant (?) of the German one. Lithuania was occupied by the Germans in 1940, which may possibly date the photo?

Are those K98 rifles?
