Front tyres look a bit on the thin side, mind you the roads in 1930's Lithuania look considerably better than the roads in 2010 Barnsley after the recent cold spell. We have pot holes that you could hide a Smart Car in!!

Of greater interest to me is that the helmets look like a variant (?) of the German one. Lithuania was occupied by the Germans in 1940, which may possibly date the photo?
Are those K98 rifles? |
