Nobody fancy the Burlingham caravan on the Isle of Wight. Question

To save transport cost`s we thought about attaching some 40 gallon drums to the outside,a 40hp evinrude engine and enjoying a weeks cruise around the south of England up to the Wash,then down the river Nene. Very Happy

Why are they never just down the road. Question
