Hello

I'm thinking in buy a ford model Y pickup but i can only find 2 pictures on the net.
wikipedia don't even mention this car as pickup.
It means the car is not original a pickup?
Anyone can give me info about this and if possible show pictures of original pickups (if they existed).

Thanks

Hi alapimba

Somewhere I do have a photo of a Model Y pickup from the 1930s. I don't know if Ford made it, or whether it was built by another company. I will try and find it!

In Sam Roberts' book 'Ford Model Y Henry's Car for Europe', there is a photo of one as a conversion from a van by Dagenham Motors Ltd on page 93. Also on page 184 there is a roadster utility photograph.

It seems though that many were sold as chassis and were bodied by other companies or even by the purchaser.

I would find such a car highly desirable!
