Good Morning Erik, I have a couple of interior pictures showing a couple of problems I have to deal with, stripping the old vinyl off the ceiling boards and fitting new and as soon as the weather allows I want to do a complete reseal of all the rails. [img][/img]

Well compared to some my progress is slow but the damage to both the front and rear sections of the interior ceiling were down to impact damage to the exterior f/glass. [img]

Water ingress had made the insulation completely sodden. The damaged areas have been reinforced from inside and filled on the outside ready for repainting when the weather improves (a lot).

Time to start replacing the wood and then insulation then re-board the ceiling.
All good fun and an interesting learning curve for me. Wink [/img]

Hello,
I am on my third Carlight at the moment. The model we have is a Carlight Casalette, the same as yours, one owner from new, totally original and spent much of its life in an upmarket Bentley and Rolls Royce showroom in West London. Very Happy
One thing to mention about your restoration is to be careful with the material covering the interior walls and units.....this is not available anymore. Sad
It also suffered from shinkage problems. Sad
If you want an original interior in your caravan this is always worth checking before buying one these models.
Our first Carlight although I restored it to a very high standard, did have to recieve an alternative finish to the walls, which detracted from the original look a lot of people desire.
If you need any information please do ask.Good Luck Very Happy

Regards
Mark.

Hi, I have found out about the interior finish via Carlight themselves and as I have only a small amount of wallboard damage they recommend removing what needs doing and replacing with the wallboard from the toilet area then having to use a modern replacement for that, at least it is hidden from the main living area. The vinyl ceiling covering is also no longer available in its original form but they can supply the vinyl used in later models which is apparently a close match or as they suggested a good plain vinyl wallpaper!!!
