Post Vintage Engineers Ltd was founded in 1979 and has over 30 years experience of specialising in Aston Martins. We cover all aspects of the marque from the 1950’s to present day models, including race preparation and restoration.
We are looking to appoint an experienced Automotive Engineer with a specialist background in classic cars, preferably Aston Martins, who can join our team of specialist engineers and work alongside them on servicing, restoration and repair work and race preparation. The successful candidate will have an eye for detail and pride in their work, along with enthusiasm and professionalism. This post requires a highly skilled and multi skilled engineer with accurate diagnostic abilities and a proven engineering background, with a passion and pride in their work.
Job Title: Automotive Engineer
Job Requirements:
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proven engineering background
• MIG, TIG and gas welding experience
• Light fabrication experience
• Engine building experience
• Commitment
• Clean driving licence
• Good communication skills
• Enthusiastic and cheerful approach
• Adhere to Data Protection Act and company confidentiality policy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Accurate numeracy and literacy
• Successful candidate to be equipped to the expected standard
Reports to: Workshop Manager, Managing Director
Liaising with: Workshop Manager, Managing Director, Technicians and Engineers, PA to Managing Director,
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm plus additional hours as and when requested
Annual Leave Entitlement: 20 days plus recognised bank and public holidays (approximately one week to be retained for Christmas closure)
Roles and responsibilities:
• Perform a variety of engineering tasks as required related to vehicles and their components
• Be able to diagnose problems and repair or advise of repair work needed on car components including engines
• Undertake design and fabrication work
• Provide quality customer service
• Be neat and tidy and project a professional image at all times
• Undertake any additional duties as may be required by Workshop Manager or Managing Director
