Background information on the VW Beetle Karmann photograph:

A proper Karmann converted Volkswagen convertible is parked up close to some earlier Jags. Proper VW ragtops have these nicely squared off quarterlights and framed side windows. Back-yard bodge job convertibles don't have this level of finesse and are often just a saloon that has had the roof hacksawed off. Don't mix the lash up variety with the proper article as shown here.
