1950s Chevrolet Pickup 3100.
Popular both in the US and UK is the 1/2 ton 3100 series truck from Chevrolet. Seen here is a red example with the steel stepside body. The rear load bay is lined with wooden planking. Engine is a straight six.

The Chevrolet photograph above wasn't taken by me, but by G. King, and is shown on oldclassiccar with his permission. His photos were taken at various locations a few years ago, including photos of classic Chevrolets such as the Pickup 3100 shown above. From what I can tell, some of the cars and vans featured were seen at shows (eg at the NEC and Alexandra Palace in London), whereas others were spotted out and about in daily use, or parked up at the side of the road. If you own the Chevrolet shown here, or know the story of this particular Pickup 3100, by all means get in touch.
