Sentinel Lorry.
Sentinel's of Shrewsbury were best known for their characterful steam lorries for many many years. In the end they had to switch to diesel just to try and keep sales of their lorries afloat. NLE 493 was first registered in July 1953 and is in the same NLE series as my own A40 Devon pickup. Engine size is 5500cc.

Classic lorry and van photos from the Gaydon truck show.
In addition to the Sentinel Lorry shown above, were many other classic and vintage lorries, both large and small. I've featured 85 of the photos I took at this particular show, held at the Gaydon motor museum in Warwickshire, in 2005. Whether you're a fan of all Sentinels, or just Lorrys like the one shown here, I'd recommend a visit to this show.
