The Squire and Escort models were the estate car versions of the Ford 100E Popular saloon in the mid/late 1950s. Early Squires were fitted with mock wood trims to the side of the body. The example shown here however makes do with a chrome trim. The Escort was a lower-spec version of the Squire. Both were powered by the updated 1172cc sidevalve Ford engine.
