Once a popular rally car the aerodynamic SAAB 96 was an advanced motorcar and harks back to when SAAB still produced interesting and idiosyncratic cars. By the 1970s their 95 and 96 models were powered by the V4 Ford engine. Earlier cars were powered by the quirky 2 stroke engine.

I'd be interested to include more details of this cars history, so if you own the 96 V4 shown below, or are a bit of an expert on the subject of SAAB then by all means get in touch.
