Always a popular rally car in its original rwd layout the Mk1 Escort RS in this photo was driven by John Taylor and J. Chitty.
I must say a big thanks to Rob Ryder who took these photos during the 1974 event, and kindly agreed to them being featured on oldclassiccar - thanks Rob! If anyone else out there has photos like the picture of a rally-prepared Ford Escort RS1600 above, whether featuring rally cars or other types of motorsport events, it'd be great to feature them here like this.
