The Rally Of The Tests historic car rally held in November 2005
Notes on this classic Volvo 122S seen on 13th Nov 2005.
Car 25 is a 1966 Volvo 122S 4 door running on Minilite wheels. This Amazon has the 1780cc B18 engine. If it is an overdrive example it will be a very long-legged cruiser ideal for long distance competition work. Bonnet clips and Cibie Super Oscars mark this Volvo out as a competition car.
This picture, of an early 122S, is photo number 22 of 95 images that I've put up on the site showing the historic rally cars that took part in this event in 2005. Please go to the main Rally Of The Tests photos page to see the other 94 photos! All were taken during a mid-morning stop-over between competitive stages during the rally on Sunday 13th November. The venue was the former secret nuclear bunker at Hack Green, near Nantwich in Cheshire.
