Reliant Sabre.
Reliant of Tamworth didn't just produce funny looking little 3 wheelers. Prior to the Scimitar Coupe they sold the Sabre as seen here. The design of the Sabre harks back to the days of 'Ford Special' building as the bodyshell is based on the 1172 model sold by Ashley Laminates. This shell was then chosen by Autocars of Israel for their Sabra Sports & GT for which Reliant would produce the fibreglass bodyshells. It was the creation of the Sabra that prompted Reliant to offer their own UK sports car - the Sabre.
