Dinky Toy Bristol sports car code 163
More information on Bristol toy car
Probably one of the best original examples I've seen of this toy Bristol 450S sports car racer. The streamlining fins ape the rear upturned wing fitted to contemporary Jag D-Types. This toy was produced between 1956 and 1960, the actual car itself racing in the 1953 Le Mans driven by Lance Macklin and Graham Whitehead. The 450 also competed in the '54 race.
Measures: 100mm in length. Approximate value £25-£30
Colour: green, car no.27, solid metal green hubs, rubber tyres, no driver, shiny black riveted base
