Dinky Toy MG Record breaking car code 23P
More information on the streamlined MG Dinky toy
This car was built after the war to enter into record breaking attempts, and I think is now on display in the Gaydon motor museum in Warwickshire. The toy was made in the late 1940s. Unusually this toy, code 23P, doesn't actually show a code on the base, unlike other Dinky toys. The example shown is in playworn but otherwise good condition, and is in my opinion preferable to a fully repainted example. Some of my sports car toys, such as the Dinky D-Type, have been repainted but I hope to find good original examples in the fullness of time.
Measures: 105mm in length. Approximate value £15-£20
Colour: green, solid metal black hubs, rubber tyres, no driver, unpainted riveted base
