Morning all,

Sunday's drive out was our first visit to this local pub meet, where a mix of sports and classic vehicles made their appearances throughout the morning. I think we were in the earliest vehicle to turn up, in fact the only other pre-war car was a Lagonda that made a fleeting visit.

The weather was excellent, and the pub itself is a cracker so a return visit is definitely on the cards.

All in all a very enjoyable morning. Here are a few photos, taken by junior and myself.

I was very taken with the bluey-grey Porsche 356, and the Daimler SP250 was also high up on my "take home please" list.

The TR7 was of interest to me, the number plates bear the dealership name Reads of Cheadle. As a youth with a penchant for collecting car brochures, I often used to visit both their Cheadle establishments, often to be seen clutching a variety of publications under my arm on leaving. I remember distinctly acquiring at least one TR7 brochure from Reads, I probably still have it.

Another meet was held on Sunday morning. The turnout wasn't as great, but there were still some interesting old (and not-so-old) things to look at ...
