Hi everyone,
Thought i'd pop by and say hello!! Already seen 2 from around here!!
I've been restoring cars for about 20 years now, panel beater and sprayer background. Love e-types and Triumphs (tr's) have restored many. strongly believe in doing it right first time!!!
Great forum by the way

Hi Rick,
Well at the moment I'm in the depths of body prep on a 1951 chevy stepside pickup, and hopefully due to start a full resto on a TR5 for the winter. |

Yeah I'll get some pics up for you. I'm only doing the panelwork and paint for a friend, he's done the chassis and engine work.
Got to say I've found it good fun, but curves everywhere!!!! I don't think there's a flat panel on the thing!!!! |

Sounds like you are a handy man to know! I am going to be looking for an "old school" body man that can take on our 63 VW split. It originates from Arizona, and was painted in the mid 80's a non standard colour. Its only been over here 5 years and the british weather has grabbed hold of some of the seams and other bits and pieces. I dont want to take it to a "VW Specialist" who will charge a grand just to push it through the door and give it a quick blow over. The bus deserves better than that and the paintwork that was done in the mid 80's must have been done to a real high standard cause it still looks really very good.
Any ideas where I should take it would be appreciatedm I'm about 3 mile south of Holt by the way.
Paul

Well Paul, If I can get my workshop situation sorted and get the chevy pickup done and dusted I'd be delighted to help you with the bus.
From the pics it looks pretty damn good to me, what sort of work is needed???
PM me if you're interested |

Welcome from another Norfolk newbie. I run a Mk1 Capri that will, over the winter need a few cosmetic touch ups - way beyond my abilities with the rattle cans as I want to keep the finish tip top, there's a few photos in the Classic and Vintage section. Obvious question - can you help or point me towards someone who might be able to?, I'm a few miles south of Attleborough. Cheers Tim |

Well maybe at some point we should arrange a meet up, take some photos outside a nice drinking establishment....I've always liked photos of cars outside pubs for some reason |
