My names James I live in South Australia. Originally from the UK but moved here two an a bit years ago in the hope I would find work and build a better future for my family. I did and gave started to build on that dream.

I currently own 1974 Dutsun 260z that I have spent the last nine months restoring it.

It's not the best I'll be the first to admit that but it's my first attempt at anything like this and just read an article in a book one day and thought I could do that.

Anyway this is the result

Any questions feel free to ask

Like it - welcome to the forum.

If you have any before & after photos, it'd be an interesting thread for the Your Cars.... section of the forum Smile

My mother had a Datsun 120Y Coupe from new. I think it was the only car that never broke down for her. I think the battery went for 5 years before being replaced.

Indeed, that's a nice looking car, just the way I like them with a decent engine up front and rear wheel drive and a complete lack of stupid electronic nonsense to get in the way of the driving experience!

Julian.

Future plans

Get some decent tyres and white sign write them

Get some deep dish alloys or polish the original up (not the ones on it)

I got boxes and boxes of parts including windscreen head original alloys and three sets of carbs ( dont ask )

I'd like some wide arch over fenders in black

Sort the suspension out new king springs and shocks all round

Manual diff to put in it yeah got that too

Then sort the engine out tune up it's not running right should be around 180bhp feels like a few horses have escaped.
