Now I thought as I have an interest in all sorts of collectable stuff I would start here.
Can I ask folk to keep the chat to an absolute minimum so we can build up a very pictorial thread, perhaps we could start an Automobilia chat thread for discussion and swaps
First a few Austin bits.
Longbridge I believe, ebay bargain for about a fiver
Austin road atlas and spanner.
Note Austin was more important than RR
Petrol Related.
All for now, more later _________________ Paul

We used similar ones in the Royal Mail for gear oil dispensers. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

I used these as well, in fact there was one at our scrappy a few weeks ago but alas it had been squashed when I got there. I mentioned it to the owner but his reply was that "There are no collectibles in my scrap yard, only scrap" so it had to go! A nice early Atco mower was crushed at the same time.
I have a few old oil and fuel cans that I display at rallies, I also had one of the original Nannette brushes and container but alas that was mislaid during a house move.

I bought the oil bucket at a car boot sale for £10, it was painted in a colour similiar to Castrol green, but very badly and the handle was a loose bolt. My Father was an Operations Manager for Petrofina, so, a bit of paint stripping, 1 aerosol of blue, a tin of silver, 2 Fina stickers and a toilet flush handle later... |

I've a green example (Speedwell Oils, before the lettering flaked off), use it now to prop the garage door open.

Hi all,
that is some nice stuff you posted love the old Oil & Petrol pumps / cans, and the ashtrays are soo nice.
One thing is to have a car, the other is to have some nice related items.
So here is a picture of some related items for my car.
3 of these items are VERY special to me.
First is the JanSpeed cufflinks & keyring, these were given to me by Simon Lee,
who was chief mechanic on my car, when it was built at JanSpeed.
second is the small square WP badge, this I got from Nick Rogers,
who I met in 2011, when I flew over for the Mini Cooper Registre day @ Beaulieu.
I have never seen any of these for sale in the 12 years I have been searching.
The JanSpeed tiepin was a lucky Ebay find, same as the W&P keyring,
which is the right one for my car, as these were made in 1973
The small WP dash badge, and the big WP dealer badge are also found on Ebay.
Still looking for a JanSpeed tie
