Donington Park June 2005.European Motorsport race preview[ Back to the XJ Team Page ]Jaguar Racing's newsletter June 2005 Dear Friends, EuropeanMotorSport (EMS) will be racing at Donington Park on 19th June for round 6 of the championship. Donington Park is probably the most technical of all of the circuits on this year's calendar and always provides a fantastic race spectacle for spectators. All three of the EMS cars are ready after a difficult time at Oulton for Jim Shea and Howard Kirkham. Jim's XJ had extensive damage and the front end has been fully rebuilt. Howard's car had some engine management issues which have been partly resolved, although there is more 'testing' required on Howard's car. There will be a fabulous display of rare racing cars and the TWR Transporter displayed alongside the EMS team at Donington. Thanks to the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust in conjunction with the Jaguar Classic Parts programme for providing this. Donington is located on the A453 near East Midlands Airport just off of junction 23a of the M1. see: bmrc.co.uk for details. The race day schedule is as follows: Racing commences at 1pm. RACE 1 Jaguar Saloon race RACE 2 Michelin Porsche race RACE 3 Jaguar XJS race RACE 4 Michelin Porsche Open RACE 5 CSCC Swinging Sixties race RACE 6 Michelin Porsche race RACE 7 Jaguar XK race RACE 8 Millers Powered by Jaguar race RACE 9 Michelin Porsche Open RACE 10 Sports car V saloon race Regards, EuropeanMotorSport |
