Quite a modern car in these surroundings but a future classic I have no doubt. The original 928 came out in the 1970s and instantly won the Car of the Year accolade. The design was advanced for its time - weight distribution was aided by a rear mounted gearbox and use of plastic in certain body panels was also a novel innovation.

The 2006 running of the Audlem Festival of Transport took place on 30th July, and was the seventh time it had been held. The Porsche 928 S4 in this photograph was photographed during our day at this classic event held in Cheshire. All sorts of cars, motorcycles and tractors were on display, including a few light commercials for good measure.
