In many people's opinion the RM series of Rileys was the last 'proper' Riley before things were watered down and badge engineering across all the BMC brands took its toll. Later Rileys (Pathfinder and Kestrel) contained many components lifted from the BMC parts bin whereas RMs were Riley through and through.
