Michigan Tourer.
The substantial 1929 Michigan is seen here coming to the end of the road run around Sandbach as part of the Transport Festival. Note the headlamp lenses. The spare wheel on the back had a tread formed from actual writing - 'anti-skid' or 'non skid' - something like that. Unfortunately the battery on my camera had packed in otherwise I'd have photographed it.
Michigan Books Whether for the Tourer as shown below, or any other type of Michigan, it is worth having a look on Amazon for books, DVDs, Videos etc.

Restored & preserved vehicles at Sandbach Festival of Transport.
Photographed here is a preserved Michigan Tourer that took part in the vintage vehicle event held in Sandbach. Mid way through the day, there was a run around the streets of this Cheshire town, and many vehicles took part. Some boiled up on this hot sunny day, but most completed the journey without a problem. For more photographs of vehicles (Michigans and others) simply visit the Sandbach show main page. There are 95 pictures featured from this transport festival, so if you are interested in preserved lorries, cars, and so on, have a look around!
All the photographs were taken by me at the 2006 event, and are subject to copyright etc. so please don't 'borrow' them, thanks.
