Rover P5 3 Litre Coupe.

Leo emailed these Rover photographs over on Christmas Day, 2009. They all show a car that he has owned since 1975, but was photographed here by the car's first owners, who bought it new in 1964. The first is a side-on view of the P5 Coupe, it's lower roofline when compared to the 3 Litre saloon is clear to see. The P5 range was introduced in 1958, and was sold for many years alongside the earlier P4 series. The first P5 Coupes went on sale in the Autumn of 1962, based on the revised Mark II P5 saloon.

Photo no.2 shows the same car on a caravanning holiday, with a Dutch-built Kip caravan hitched to the rear. Photo 3 shows the same combination, but this time parked up in a camping field. This P5 is fitted with the straight-six 3.0 engine, and manual four speed transmission with overdrive.

The final P5 Rover (a V8 P5B) was manufactured in 1973, leaving just the P6 and 3.5 4x4 Range Rovers in production at the factory. An in-period photo of a P5B Coupe can be found on the Bell's Garage photo page, image number 3.

Many classic Rovers.

Having been in production for so many years, Rovers come in all shapes and sizes. The image collection shown below features many of the different models produced from the 1920s through to the 2000s. Some are mainstream, others intriguing one-offs and development cars.
