Vauxhall Victor FB Estate 1962.
Thanks to Peter who sent this photo over, which shows his father stood alongside his then-new 1962 Vauxhall Victor Estate.
Back to Car Photographs Page 1.
The FB series first broke loose in 1961, replacing the original F series Victors. The estate car could be purchased for £861, slightly less than the outgoing model, and shared much of the styling of the Victor saloon.
The estate came with stiffer rear springs, six ply 5.90x13 tyres, and a slightly lower ratio rear axle.
Peter is continuing the family tradition of owning classic Vauxhalls - his PA Cresta appears in the Your Car Stories section of oldclassiccar, he also has his own PA Cresta site.
