This page: A full-colour brochure for the mid-1930s Ford commercial vehicle range.
Ford & Fordson commercial vehicles in the mid-1930s.
A stunning full-colour illustrated brochure for Ford and Fordson vans, lorries, flatbed trucks and three-wheeled articulated tug, dating to December 1935, is the subject of this brochure review.
It's illustrated throughout with fantastic colour depictions of the mid-1930s Ford commercial vehicle range, it was published in December 1935, ready for the 1936 season here in the UK - although many of these pre-war commercial vehicles clearly have links to the parent company in the USA, not least by several having the classic, sidevalve (flathead), V8 engine under their bonnets, or hoods.
Fans of British sidevalve Fords will recognise the 5cwt van and the Model Y-based styling of its cab, which also features on the rarely-seen three-wheeled 8hp articulated tug, which is also included in this stunning pre-war Ford brochure.
Pre-war vans, lorries and pickup trucks are usually wonderous things to look at, and these are no exception in my book .. the mid-sized Fordson Model BBE lorries in particular, with their forward-control, snub-nosed, styling just look superb I think. I'd welcome your thoughts in the comments section below this video.
