International D-40 truck.
Here is a UK-market brochure for the International D-40 truck of 1937 through to 1940. By the late 1930s, American trucks were echoing the streamlined designs of contemporary motor-cars, with sloped-back, curved, grilles, copious use of bright trim fittings, and all-steel cabs. Beneath the skin they were quite advanced too, often fitted with standard features such as five-speed gearboxes (in this case with an overdrive fifth), and power, vacuum-assisted, brakes. In this video, I have a flick through this rare publication.
