Set out at 1100 with a local TSSOC/Pilling Old Car Club joint effort, 85 mile run through the Trough of Bowland, up towards Bentham, Clapham area then back to Beacon Fell and finished at Garstang using lots of white roads. It started off damp and got worse!

The Humber Hawk in this shot spat it's auto box about 10 miles in on a hairpin right into a 1:4 hill.

Did I say it rained?.

The faint yellow line at the same level as my roof top is the sand of the Wyre estuary to the left, to the right towards the Lune estuary

And at 6pm the sky was blue and the sun was beaming, typical.

I did over 200 miles yesterday in my A35 Very Happy

First stop was the Cambridge/Oxford OC meetup at Walton on the Naze, where I picked up a rust free front valance, crossmember and fairing panel for my A55 from the Sun-Tor owner Smile

Then to near Sudbury where I inspected the ex-Bob T Austin A50 to have the original number allocated. It's a lot better than mine, but still needs work in all the usual places!

The same guy had this Island Blue A35 (just like mine) that he is restoring, it's been in his family from new.

Then up to the border with Norfolk where I met up with a friend on the Young Guns Classics forum, and his lovely Marina! We ended up on a local abandoned airstrip where we got a few pics. I want a Marina now Sad

And the hot seat Smile

Didn't really see that many classics disappointingly, and nothing at all in Suffolk! Saw a convoy of classics, the usual MGB's and Minors, plus a very tidy Ocean Blue A55 MK2, on the southbound carriageway of the A12 near Colchester, and a MK2 Jag going north on the way home.

Ocean Blue! That's it!! The Riley 1.5 project I bought last year had been painted in a blue I didn't recognise - now I do, it's Ocean Blue.
(to keep on topic, I hope to have it ready for Drive It Day next year... or the year after...)

The Riley RM Club combined with the Manchester Standard Triumph Group for a little run to Turton Tower via The Pack Horse, Elbut, Bury (where we have our monthly meetings - 3rd Wednesday, all welcome).
We managed a few RMs plus pre- and post-war Standard 8s, a lovely GT6, plus a few hangers-on in their moderns, due to an outbreak of mild classiccaritis in their garages.

Great weather on Sunday for the NNCVC run from Sheringham to Hoveton Hall Gardens in Norfolk brought out a big field of classic vehicles. As well as NNCVC members there was good support from several Marque Clubs - particularly the Wensum TR Register group. Here are some of the many and varied participants :
