The view traveling across the old bridge (following the horse & cart) on to King William St, is practically the same today

What I found quite chilling, possibly because colour film makes it seem more real; was watching the crowds of people in the market, happily going about their business, all of whom would have thought that the great war was behind them...little did they know what was coming...

Out standing bit of film and its well well worth watching the whole film on this link, there are lote of road scenes from around the country plus a look at a lost world

Great stuff - don't think the cart on the bridge would pass the MOT, looked like it had square wheel bearings. Liked the way the Bobby on point duty swiftly moved out of the way - don't know if he was escaping from the pedestrians or the traffic. Nice touch to have Jack Warner in the end piece.
All in all worth watching more than once - a lot going on to see in one viewing
