Exactly - more fun! Great group of owners cheap parts and no end of events.
Chev - vintage era yes but cheap slightly nasty T Ford competitor of no real mechanical or enginering appeal made in enormous numbers. Probably OK to be thrashed to death as a low price VSCC trials car. Actually at that price cheaper than one of the more desrable A7s. Each to their own but would not do for me.
If you must go American something like your Dodge has massively more appeal.

Yes but there is not a lot of Austin in the engines nowadays - Honda generator pistons Renault 4 rods (and others) Phoenix crank etc etc
and all bits so easily available!
I keep thinking of getting one - but I drove my brothers Speedy (the 1935 Le Mans car CZ 6324) which has been restored and sorted plus now made 3 Le Mans appearances (1935 and Classic in 2010 & 2012) a few weeks ago. I stopped after 3 miles to check the tyres thinking there was a puncture but no it seems they always handle as if the chassis was a flexible ruler. Thank goodness 50 mph sounds (and feels) like a dangerous 90!! I suppose you get used to the feeling you are about to be thrown off into the road.
Great fun though I keep telling myself - well you have too! _________________ Jonathan Butler

Very true!
My car left the factory, green and was bought by a banana importer.
Now that it is a little older it has turned to yellow and black.

Sure this has been on the market for some time (over a year) in various places - I've a feeling there is a U Tube presentation of it which someone showed me a while ago.
If its cheap enough worth a go but I'd still have an A7 Chummy (great club and more fun) in preference sorry Rick. _________________ Jonathan Butler
