With a description like that, not even the size given, let alone a history of the company, it could be the bargain of the year. The Coventry Knight caravan was the Rolls-Royce of caravans, but with steel panelled construction it would have needed one to tow it, or possibly a Dodge
I believe one of the banks had one converted into a mobile bank for agricultural shows, etc, and it survived into preservation. Has anyone got any further information on that ?

Hi
Rick, you will have to claim you are a member of the fair, so you can tow the trailer with your dodge, then the caravan, then a tanker (for fuel), You would have a mini road train.
Why is it only the fair can tow three trailers in a line, I got stuck behind a truck with three huge trailers, artic sized. It was so slow, then there was a dodge ram behind me and a couple of vehicles, and he was madly over taking everny one, squeezing in behind me, then going past me as I was indicating to turn right, I wish he could learn to drive! Could have made a mess, of me and my mini!
Cheers

Hi.
I last saw the Coventry Knight mobile bank at Glastonbury contemporary arts festival in 2007. The owner is Charlie Tillier and I think the vehicle is kept somewhere in Hampshire.
For more info look at the Coventry Knight Facebook group - you have to register for a facebook account unfortunately. |

not as heavy as they look these vans ,the skin is inerlocking ally panels on ally frame, perspex roof bandand ,and windows with the center of the roof held up by the bars running over the top, we towed one back from Wales with a diesel disco no problem !
designed by clifford dawtrey ,under the name of Coventry steel ,the vans he made where some of the most inventive and foward thinking of the time (as well as the most expnsive! )with at least 6 still in preservation |
