Hi there i am new to this forum and thought i would see if anyone had any history, knowledge and valuation/marketplace information about mt 1948 Ravern Mignon.
i have had the van for a couple of years and have restored it to fantastic condition, all the panels have been removed to repair the frame. I have sanded and re-painted the entire van to what i believe to be original colours, sandblasted and repainred the chassis.
The van is really nice for its age, and in really great condition. I have even got the original gas lamp shade which is glass.
I am not thinking of selling the van, but am curious to its value and history. I am 28 years old and restore and build classic cars. I have a mk1 golf with a v8 rwd conversion. Mk1 1968 escort 2 door and a few other part built projects.
Many thanks for taking the time to read my post.
I now has new windows all round with i had to make from scratch. |

My first 'period' caravan was a Raven Mignon, given to me by one of my dustmen!
I have the chassis plate still, but nothing more remains sadly.
It was a basic model which meant that it didn't have an interior. You had to upgrade to the De Luxe for that. |
