|
|
I think I'm about to sell my 4x4 competition car and will have about £5,000 (maybe a bit more) that I could be persuaded to spend on a new project.
I have a bucket list - to own or have owned a vehicle from every decade that cars have existed:
1880's & 1890's - no chance!
1900s - maybe, if I sell my house or children
1910's - Alldays
1960's - VW Beetle and Camper
1970s - Hillman Hunter, various Beetles, Volvo 340 ...
1980's to date - too many to mention
So, knowing that £5k is not a fortune in old car terms I'm looking for something different; maybe commercial van or truck but vintage over classic.
Got any ideas to get my creative thoughts flowing? _________________ Richard |

Thanks Rick,
a running restoration project is exactly what I want, but if I don't sell my 4x4 then it's not going to happen ... but that citroen looks very good! _________________ Richard |

I've done the 70's, I'm more interested in arcane 20's to 50's.
I've about, I hope, to do a swap for a 1965 Moggie but that has nothing to do with looking for an oddity for £5k _________________ Richard |

The RM is a lovely car. The Pathfinder is a nice car as well. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

Simple if you never have to work them! They are a very modern design and just like most modern cars they were designed by a sadist who demanded that you must dismantle most of the car just to access a single piece and in the process you can guarantee that you will rip you hands to shreds.
A sensible buy if you like modern cars.
