Hello!
Just bought a 1937 Morris 8 Saloon. Gorgeous.
We are in Hunstanton, Norfolk and would really appreciate getting to know other owners in the area in due course.
Things have not quite turned out as we expected. See 'Tale of Woe' on the General Forum if interested.

Hello,
despite the fact that I am not at all living in your neighbourhood and due to the fact that I just got my Morris 8 saloon 2-door registered in Germany I wanted to say also "Hello".
Have fun with your little car.
Mark
PS just forgot something.
Please change break fluid and engine oil and check the level of gearbox and rear axle.
When I prepared mine for the MOT in Germany I checked the brakes and found one piston of each wheel to be corroded in the brake cylinders.
After refurbishing them I wanted to replace the break fluid as the fluid in the cylinders looked terrible. Although the break fluid looked quite ok from the outside I could suck a lot of fully black soot out of the master cylinder. Then I fully changed the fluid and I tell you - I never saw in my whole life such a black in break lines. |

Hi and welcome to the forum....Morris 8s must be more common than marinas....probably because they were better built. I was a mechanic with the GPO and passed my driving test in a Z type van. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |
